Planning

Planning time!

1) First  fold the black piece of cloth 78cm x 29cm in half to 39cm x 29cm.

2) Next trace a rectangle of the bag with yellow chalk (36cm x 24 cm) and also tracing another outer margin of 1 cm for seam allowance.

3) After cutting out the cloth (the two sheets), fold the top margin on
both of the cloths in half and pin it.

4) Next, cut out a white rectangle (12cm x 18cm) with a 1cm margin for the face of the bag.

5) Next fold the 1 cm margin in half to the back of the cloth
to be hemmed. (So there will be no fraying on the cloth)

6) From the remaining black cloth from the cloth of the main bag, cut out two eyes which look like these -> ¬ ¬ and a smirk which is about 1.5 times longer than the eyes and it should look something like this after sowed on the white cloth:

7) Then sew the white cloth (face) onto one of the black cloths.

8) After sewing the face on, turn the cloth to the flip side (inside of the bag) and place the cloths together.

9) First sew the bottom margins together, (sewing at around the middle of the margin.

10) Then sew the top part of the bag with the margin that is folded, (that should be the exterior of the bag) and sew the folded part at the bottom.

11) Then sew the margins at the side of the two cloths together  (all the way to the middle of the top part of the margin) leaving an unsewed portion of 1.5cm at the bottom.

12) Then turn the bag inside out!

13) Then get two black strings of 120cm. Take one and put a safety pin at the end.

14) Push the safety pin with the string at the end through the slot of the top margin and push it through until the end and slot it through the other slot and the string will end up on the same side again.

15)Repeat step 14 on the other side of the bag.

16) The push both ends into unsewed part at the bottom of the bag and flip the bag inside out and tie a dead end at knot at the end of the strings that were pushed inside... And the bag is done!
